Marketing Collaboration Sidebar

I designed the collaboration sidebar in HubSpot’s Marketing Hub to help teams work more efficiently by enabling them to comment, view upcoming tasks, and access their marketing calendar without leaving their workspace.

Marketing Calendar

I led significant UX improvements to the Marketing Calendar in HubSpot, enhancing usability and visual clarity for marketing teams managing their scheduled marketing assets.

Key updates included streamlining all-day events to reduce clutter, introducing a quick day view sidebar for faster navigation, and refining day, week, and month views for greater consistency and readability.

Frameworks Listings Page

I led this platform project to bring greater consistency across all HubSpot Marketing tool listing pages. This work involved designing new UI patterns, aligning existing designs, and collaborating closely with all hub teams to ensure adoption of the shared framework.

The project established alignment between internal design and coding frameworks, creating a unified experience across Marketing Hub tools. These improvements strengthened both internal efficiency and external usability and gave customers a more consistent, cohesive experience as they moved between different tools.

Marketing Tasks

I redesigned the Marketing Tasks experience in Marketing Hub to make it more intuitive, streamlined, and aligned with users’ day-to-day workflows.

Improvements included improving task creation and assignment flows, simplifying filtering and sorting options, and improving task visibility within campaigns. These updates reduced friction in managing marketing activities and helped teams stay organised.

Activity Feed & Deep Commenting

Designed a marketing activity feed that allowed users to see all of the activity their team members had contributed to marketing assets.

As part of this project, I introduced Deep Commenting, a new way to collaborate directly within HubSpot by allowing users to place contextual comments anywhere on the screen. This enabled more efficient feedback, reduced communication gaps, and improved team productivity across campaigns.

MH Pro Onboarding

I worked on the Marketing Hub Onboarding Team to design an activation checklist that guided new users through key setup tasks and helped them achieve faster time-to-value.

This work was part of multiple experiments run with the Growth Team at HubSpot, focused on improving user activation and onboarding engagement.

Due to the confidential nature of this project and unreleased design work, I’m unable to share full details publicly. However, I’d be happy to discuss the process, experiments, and outcomes in a private walkthrough.

Activation on Lead Generation Tools (Growth Team)

I led the initiative to improve activation time within lead generation tools by creating a more guided, consistent post-creation experience for marketers.

Through user research, we identified a key problem: marketers often struggled to understand what to do next after creating their first marketing asset, encountering conflicting flows that kept them within a single tool. Our goal was to design a clearer, more connected experience that encouraged users to explore related tools and complete activation faster.

Due to the confidential nature of this project and unreleased design work, I’m unable to share full details publicly. However, I’d be happy to discuss the process, experiments, and outcomes in a private walkthrough.

UX Task Force

I worked on this platform project to bring consistency across all of the HubSpot Marketing tools main listing pages. This included designing patterns and cross team collaboration, communication to get teams to adopt our framework. Created consistency with our internal coding frameworks and also consistency for the customer when using all tools in Marketing as they spoke to each other.
